Karen Arredondo-Starr

Native to San Antonio, Karen pursued theatre graduating with a BFA in Technical Theatre Design from Texas State University. Karen has been working in the field as well as education for the past 13 years working with many local theatre companies in town as well as notable companies in Austin, Houston, Dallas and Chicago. Her experience working at the Tobin Center during its first year, IASTE, local universities as well as local theatre companies has provided an array of experience to be used in and

for VIVA.

Juan Carlos Calderon

​

Originally from El Paso Texas, Juan moved to San Antonio to attend Our Lady of the Lake University where he studied Acting and fell deeply in love with Theater and Film. Throughout  the last 12 years he has immersed himself in his 3 passions: acting, directing and teaching. Currently, Juan teaches Theater Arts at McCollum High School and absolutely loves it.

Holly Clifford

Holly has been involved in theatre for the majority

of her life. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with her degree in theatre. Currently working as an educator, Holly does it all. Acting, Directing, Designing, and producing theatre for

the past 9 years.

Vanessa Rae Garcia

​

Vanessa has been actively involved in theatre over

the past 20 years. She was a co-founder of New York City’s Lone Star Theatre Company. Vanessa acted as a Literary Manager, Producer, and Managing Director for Lone Star, designed to give voices to new and emerging Texas artists in New York City. She produced cabarets showcasing original songs of several working artists. In 2013 Vanessa served as an Asst. Stage Manager in Emily Comisar’s Track Twelve as part of the NYC Fringe Festival. She is a member of the San Antonio Film Society. Some of her film credits include,Wolf  by Ya’ke Smith, Lilia, and Squeezebox.  She currently serves as a Production Manager/ Co-Owner of Screenville Films, alongside Sam Lerma, and has been teaching theatre for over
